KAYENDRIYA SIDDHIR ASHUDDHI KSHAYAT TAPASAH ||43||
कायेन्द्रियसिद्धिरशुद्धिक्षयात् तपसः ॥४३॥
kāyendriya-siddhir-aśuddhi-kṣayāt tapasaḥ ||43||
Through self discipline (tapas), mental impurities are destroyed and the body and senses take on supernatural powers. ||43||
kāya = the physical body
indriya = senses; organs of perception
siddhiḥ = (nom. from siddhi) supernatural power
aśuddhi = impurities
kṣayāt = (from kṣaya) removal, destruction, elimination
tapaḥ = (nom. from tapas) self-discipline; ascesis
